银河娱乐博彩 contracts with the 大学委员会 for the school-day P坐 和 坐 only. The district—as a single entity—does not contract with the 大学委员会 for Saturday testing or the ACT.

  • 2023年10月11日 will be the school day 坐 for all 12th grade students.
    • The 大学委员会 only provides districts with the paper option for school-day 坐 in October.
  • 2023年10月16日至31日 will be the test window for school-day P坐/NMSQT for 11th grade.
  • SPS students will be automatically registered for the 坐 和 P坐/NMSQT

The Scholastic Assessment Test (坐) is the most widely used college admission test in the country. 坐 scores are one tool used to demonstrate student college 和 career readiness.  

The school-day administration offers these benefits:

  • 没有成本. The school-day test is free for SPS students.
  • Students may also send up to four score reports for free. The school-day test permits students to send score reports to as many as four colleges or scholarship programs.
  • 通往毕业的额外途径. A qualifying score on the 坐 can be used as a graduation pathway for ELA 和/or math. 目前的合格分数为 ELA为410 和 数学430分.

P坐(初级坐) provides valuable feedback on strengths 和 the skills necessary for college study . Students can then focus their preparation on areas that could most benefit from additional study or practice. The P坐 measures critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills 和 writing skills.

Gives insight on how a performance on an admissions test compares to others applying to college .Helps students prepare for the 坐. Students will become familiar with the kinds of questions 和 the exact directions they will see on the 坐.

Could help juniors qualify for scholarships . The Preliminary 坐/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (P坐/NMSQT) for juniors is a program co-sponsored by the 大学委员会 和 National Merit Scholarship Corp. (NMSC).

费用减免和福利

Students who qualify for free or reduced price meals (FRL) may be eligible to receive additional benefits from the 大学委员会 such as free 坐 tests 和 unlimited sending of scores. In order to receive these benefits, applicants must check the box on the form for ‘Pre College Exams’ in section number 7 of the 免费或减价餐表 并签署.

Support for Students with Disabilities

Accommodations may be available for the P坐/坐 for students with documented disabilities in a 504 Plan or IEP.  Parents must initiate the request well in advance for accommodations by completing the consent form 和 submitting it to the school’s SSD coordinator with the necessary documentation.  From that point, the SSD coordinator will make the formal request to the 大学委员会 for approval. Any accommodations for testing must be approved first by the 大学委员会.  Accommodations may include 额外的时间, separate setting, or large print booklets.

Supports for students in the English Learner program may be available for the 坐 including translated directions, 额外的时间, 和 use of an approved bilingual dictionary. Contact your school’s 坐 coordinator for additional information 和 questions about eligibility.
